Algae on the silicone

How would you get the algae off or out of the silicone at the joints of the glass?
I dont want to spring a leak.

depends on the silicone used. but you could try a plain old scrub pad

I think I would leave it. I would keep it off the glass but I don't think it will grow enough to push the silicone enough to cause a leak. You may do more harm messing with the seal then if leave it alone.
