algae problem

my tank just got an algae bomb or explosion
theres brown algae everywhere
not sure if its regular or hair algae
heres my params

ammonia-o ppm
nitrite-o ppm
nitrate- oppm
not sure whats the problem
I think its my phosphates but i could be wrong because i ran out of the liquid so i havnt tested for it
does anyone know what could possibly be the problem

How old is the tank? fairly new tanks will go threw a few algae blooms.

Also, yea check your phosphates. Its algae food.

How longs your light cycle? if 10-12 hours cut down to 6-8 for the time being. Give um less time to grow.

Try to remove as much as possible.

I had a similar problem and realized my phosphates were high. I used some phosban and put my lights on an 8 hour cycle and within a week it went away.
