algae problem

Actually not sure if it is a problem, so i am hopong to get some opinions on a form of algae growing in my tank. The bottom of my tank is crushed coral, and has been squeaky white since the inception of my tank (3 months ago). I have just started to notice that i have some sort of carpet algae growing on the bottom. It looks natural, but just wanted to make sure that i wont have an outbreak in the near future. I take pride in having a "clean" looking tank, and with this green stuff at the bottom i feel that the tank doesnt look its best. Any opinions/comments would be appreciated!!!

With any new setup, the clean look will be disturbed by algae. Its a natural thing to happen. It goes alittle like this brown, green and then red. They are all related to excessive phosphates. Some use a natural solution, some chemical. I personal like to mix the two. Stay up on your WC, no overfeeding, no overstocking, no extended lighting periods, use RO/DI, use micro-algae and phosban reactor. Your tank will stay clean and pristine.
