Algae problem?

Hey guys,

My tank has developed this bright green algae that has dusted my live rock and sand and such. I know the typical answer is to quit running my light system as long, but I have an anemone as well as some random bits of coral. I have a 29g tank w/2 turbo snails and 3 hermit crabs...what would you recommend that I do...if this algae is even a problem?

You need a bigger lean up crew. They should be able to control the algae. Are you running a protein skimmer?

How long are you running your lights? What are your water parameters? Could be nitrates, phosphates, etc. How old is your tank? We need this info if you want an answer.
