algae question?

I have dark green algae building up all over my tank. I was wondering if this was normal or how to get rid of it? Thanks

How much flow, what kind of lighting? I have Hydor Korilla model # 2 and 3
How many fish and what kinds? I have one clown, a long horn cow fish, a yellow tang, 15 snails, 15 hermits, 3 urchins, 1 lobster, and one clam.
What do you feed? I use flakes, brine shrimp, and silver sides.
Do you use a skimmer, PO4 reactor, other filtration? My skimmer is a jebo 180 hangon skimmer, Filtration I have a fluval 405 and one of those bio wheels.
Do you have a refugium? No
How often are your water changes? 10-12 gallons of water a week

At 2.5 months, this is fairly common. You may want to get a phosban reactor to help things out.

Will this take away the dark green algae building up on my tank glass? The magnet cleaner things will not even scrape it off of the glass.
