Let me start off by Hi everyone, kay now lets get down to business. I have had my tank up and running for about 9 month now. Using Salifert phosphate tester, and i am getting zero reading. And my algae is still blooming. How much time should i keep the mh on and the power compact

usually test kits for PO4 are not good enough as the algae is using the PO4 up before it will read on the test kit. the main thing is if you have algae then you have PO4.

I run my MH's for 8 hours and my VHO's for 12 hours.

NO3 will feed algae also.

PC's about ten hours daily and MH's about eight...

sams right about the phosphate kits, best to run a reactor it will help a lot and reduce light on times, start with 8 hrs and go from there
