Does anyone know of a "low profile" algae scrubber. Some of my live rock is close to the edge of the tank and I would like to be able to use an algae scrubber all the way down.
RC member Santa Monica custom makes ATSs that do what you describe. I think the model is HOG and there are a few models. He's a frequent poster in the Advanced forum sticky on ATSs and runs a web site under his own name.
I'm not sure what you mean by "low profile" and "all the way down." I run a setup that puts my scrubber at a 45 degree angle. You could go flatter it that's what you mean by low profile. Is this in your sump or above your display tank?
What you are looking for is a glass cleaner or scrubber. An algae scrubber refers to a plastic screen with a light shining on it to grow algae for the algae to "scrub" the water to take excess nutrients out.
