Algea covered Polyp

I have a delicate 2 polyp frag, one is open nice , the smaller one has not open since I got it about two weeks ago, now is is getting a little flim of algea on it. Is there any safe way to help it out ?

Q-tip or a soft bristle tooth brush and just be very gentle. I revie/coralrx/ dip probably would not hurt.
