Alien eye chalice placement and lighting?

Please share placement with success for this chalice. and also type of lighting...Thanks

If "alien eye" is purple with green rims and green eyes (my lfs sells "named" frags without the name mostly), I have had mine on the rock, in a slight overhang so it was mostly lightly shaded.
This was in a rsm 33gal almost at the bottom of the tank with stock lighting (pc's).
This produced awesome color, very little growth, though the frag always looked healthy.
I moved and put the chalice on the sand...a little bit lower but overall more light. The colors are not nearly as stunning, but it looks like a bit more growth (though I would still say a very slow grower).

i have one under a 150mh set off to the side in indirect lighting. does really well. mine has bold blood red coloring and my other is green with yellows eyes. t5 would be better.

They seem to light lower light, especially in the bluer spectrum.

thanks for replys guys! I moved it under an overhang and it gets a little light reflected from different angles...color is good growth slow.....also have a couple others purple with yellow eyes is doing excellent..growing pretty fast actually...its not under an overhang but out of direct light from mh.

sounds like a successful spot to be in my friend. slow growth is better than getting fried
