Alien vs Predator

Here are some creatures that eat our zoas.

That is an amazing image- how did you get both of them so close to each other?! Are they really fighting? Wow.
I hope your zoos are recovering-- have you got rid of the predators and aliens yet?

I captured both on colony of zoas and put them in a bowl. When I swirled them around the spider landed on the nudi and just sort of held on. :)
They haven't caused much damage, but they are very difficult to completely eliminate. The eggs must last weeks before hatching.
As for the spider, this is the first one I've seen. I hope it isn't the first of a plague!

Neat shot. I had the nudis in my tank about 18 months ago. I tried freshwater dips and an Arrow crab... and just removing infested rocks. Eventually they went away... at least I think they did.

Wow, never heard of an arrow crab for them. I'll have to try that.
Here is a few more nudis. :)

I like this one, it shows how they absorb the algae from the
zoa and change color.

Beautiful creatures. To bad there such a menace.

One or two isn't bad, but they lay those egg swirls that have 60+ in them. They are really tiny too. It's hard to appreciate them at less than 2x. :)
