Alk Question

I have a 50 gallon reef that I regularly dose limewater for all top off. This works fairly well to keep up with my calcium, but not quite with the Alk. I have used kalk with B-Ionic in the past with good results, but would like your opinion on what products I should take a look at to make up for the difference in Alk. My tank without anything but kalk will maintain at about 7 dkH, my target is closer to 9 dkH. Thanks in advance for your help on this.

but not quite with the Alk.

That is what folks observe when both are not meeting demand. I show that in this article:

If you cannot use more limewater, I'd look to use a two part along with it if you do not want to switch to a CaCO3/CO2 reactor. You can buy a commercial product, or make a DIY:

You might also add vinegar to the limewater (45 mL/gallon of limewater) and use 3 teaspoons lime per gallon instead of 2:
