Alkalinity And Calcium Supplements Affect Fish?

For the past week and a half, I just started adding seachem reef builder and calcium additives daily into my tank due to very low alk and calcium levels. Will this affect the health of my fish at all?

If the alk/calcium are kept at optimum levels, your fish will thank you for it. For maintaining your levels there are other, probably better, ways. Check out the articles here...

Watch your pH when dosing CA/Alk. Sudden pH swings DO affect fish.

I would dose slowly, it sounds like you are hitting it kinda hard. I use the same stuff and like it but as with everything else rushing it is never any good.
I would dose half of what it says for a month and then retest and adjust your dose from there. If nothing is dying in your tank then its not urgent and your livestock will appreciate the gradual increase.
