Alkalinity up

I am not that new to the hobby because I did a reef tank a few years back and I was successful. This time I tried a nano and was successful at first then I thought I would make a few changes for the better and it turned out for the worst. To make the story short my end problem was two things. My calcium level was low(300) and the second my alkalinity is high(20). All the other parameters are perfect except maybe my ph. Its 8.2 or 8.4. So my question is how do you bring the alkalinity down without bringing the ph down? I have been doing 10% water changes for the past few days with no results except for some corals dying. My last victom was a SPS and probably a soon to be rose anemone. Need help ASAP. My water changes is from already made salt water mix. If I had to add water due to evaporation I use the water from a local store that sells distilled water with a ph of 8.2.

Wow that is a high alk reading. I would be carefull right about now.Ca And alk can be a bizarre thing sometimes.I suspect the high alk is preventing your ca from going in the proper direction. Also It might not be a bad idea to test your mix for Alk levels. while you are at it check your magnesium as well. There is a great article on here about such things I just cant remember where. just gather as much info as you can, and verify what you do have in the way of mix and mg. if all is good mabe try some larger war=ter changes with dkh around 10 . Watch your PH too
