Because controlling water quality is such an important part of raising fish and fish fry, it seems logical to consider designing an all in one rearing tank.
I have been tossing some ideas in my head about how one could design a sump and fuge (similar to an AIO nano tank) with in a 10 gallon rearing tank and have some neat ideas. But surely I am not the first one to com up with this idea.
Has anyone done this before. The idea is to have a fuge built in a 10 g tank that is "fry safe". The fuge could hold sand, macro, sponge filter, heater, etc.
I think it would be pretty straightforward to do by making use of 50 micron nylon mesh. I wanted to get some input on this, and maybe some ideas from someone who has done this before.
Thanks,
