The story goes.....
Have had my tank set up for about a year. Last fish addition was about 2-3 months ago. I started running a UV that is way big for my tank about 2-3 months ago as well. Everyone else is healthy except my female Allardi. Very minimal stress in my tank.... They are in a glass box.. go figure..About a week ago I noticed white spots on her all over. I figured it was just sand stuck on her from "slime" being on her skin from the host nem. Today I notice that she is utilizing my cleaner shrimp. Breathing is normal and appetite is normal. Water params are spot on as always. I am anal about it. I have an SPS dominated tank.... I have to be anal. I never had sickness problems and have not lost very much since I started compared to most I see on the forums. Lots and lots of research done.
Question is.... I have always thought if I maintain my parameters w/ clean water, I won't have any disease issues and if I do have an issue my fish would be able to fight a sickness due to the proper water quality. Is this true? I do water changes weekly and have not skimped on equipment or setup. I figure if he is utilizing the shrimp and I keep the water clean the disease should pass. Please don't ask what parameters are...... Every parameter is where it should be. Very little fluctuations.
