I just got a small shipment of live rock from Tampa Bay Saltwater and am stunned by the amount of life! I have no idea what I am doing with the camera, it basically works itself (Canon Powershot), but I really want to show some of these pictures off =)

Oops-still trying to figure out how to post pics

The top picture looks like a sea slug, nudibranch, but I'm a noob and I could be totally off :)

Off first glance, the 2nd picture looks almost like a mantis shrimp all cramped up in a little hole. But then again, my screen is filtered right now due to dark room.
Cool Pics though

I agree- I thought it was a nudibranch and mantis too. Cool as they are (especially the Mantis- they are amazing) they can both bring trouble :(

I at first thought that the second pic down had some sort of cephalopod and got pretty excited...

Does anybody else see that? At least the eye, and then a bulge afterwords seems to look that way.

I do see some mantis-like appendages beneath the eye though.

I thought the top guy was a nudibranch too. He was only about 2mm. Really incredible though! He was truckin' through a pretty good current with no problem.

The second is a mantis, some people in the mantis shrimp forum are pretty sure he's M. wennerae. He's a good 2 inches! I can hear him popping away in the tank. I hope he hasn't killed too much yet, I am going to dedicate a tank to him. He's really cool!

Rosseau, check these pictures out, these little guys were hanging out right near the nudibranch.
