My tank with coral and fish had ich before. I took all the fish out and treated with 0.5 ppm cupermine for 2 weeks. Fallow the main tank for 10 weeks. Ich was disappear since December 2012. I've added some coral & invert in this few months. 2 weeks before, after cleaning the sump. The blue tang have a few white spot on his body, it looks like ich I've seen before. It comes out & disappear on and off but it had no other symptoms instead of few sugar grain sized white spot (less than 5 each time on the body only) , no itchness and scratching, normal breathing and eating .The other fish had no symptoms at all. So is it really ich or I should look for other disease ? Thanks for any idea!

Flukes can appear as ich but will not fall off and appear again with the same cycle. Sounds like ich to me. Most likely reintroduced on a coral or invert. Also the two week copper treatment may have not been enough.

+1

IMO four weeks of copper should be the minimum treatment length. I have had spots reappear when stopping copper treatment after 2 weeks. Remember that the lifecycle of cryptocaryon is anywhere from 3-28 days.
