Alveopra need help

I bought a blue alveopra last week from my lfs.It was retracted in his tank but I remember seeing it extended the week before.He toll me it was retracted because he had changed it tank.Since I have it ,it hasn't opened up at all, retracted and doesn't eat.I have it placed in a low flow area 12" below 8 T5 lighting.I feed my tank with rotifers and phyto. at night and see no reaction from it.
What can I do

Personally, I'd take it back to the store. It shouldn't have been sold/bought in the state you reported. Alveoporas are too fickle to keep as it is when they're bought "healthy." I can't imagine trying to save an unhealthy one. Many don't even respond to feedings making matters even more difficult.

I know,there won't be a next time but now I have to try and save it...he won't take it back .

More than likely, you have it too close to the lights.
