i have a 29 gallon tank with a 10g refug/sump. the tank has been setup for 4 months and the rock is from an established tank that is 6 months. i have a 1" sandbed, coarser sand. my lighting is 240w pc. am i ready for a deresa or croceca(sp?) clam??
Do you have lots coraline on glass and rocks? I assume your paremeters(alk, cal ph nitrate nitrite) are ok. If so you could probably keep derasas. Croceas will not do well in your sys IMO
there has been a bloom of coralline on my rocks. none on my glass yet as my tank is only 4 months old. my paremeters are all great. cal is 400-420 range, ph is 8.3, nitrate and nitrite are 0
Thats a nice system, but is not a minimum; clams also do not need a specific spectrum...if anything a crocea would "need" like 6.7K, right?
I think more people would say 150-175W MH as a min., We've rejected 130W PC on this forum for a while, but 240W PC is getting into where I don't think anyone could flat out say that it will not work.
ok, im running two 65 and two 55w bulbs. one of each is 20,000k and one of each is 10,000k so that puts me at 15,000k. will a deresa clam do good with this??
