Am I the only one?

Am the only one who is more excited about watching my new equipment than my actual tank when you get something new? I just got a new skimmer and when I go to check my tank out I find myself watching my skimmer more than my actual tank.

I had a similar fixation on a Bubble Magus doser

I was setting an alarm so I could get up and watch doses at 2 am, 4 am and 6 am
for a few days after I got it, to make sure it was doing what it should be
