ambient light

Hello Everyone,

Last night was the first night I used the clamp on light for my brand new sump/refugium. I noticed it produces ambient lighting on the wall that shines back into the tank, slightly. Will this light bouncing back in the tank hurt anything? Do I need to block it some how? I have a 54 Corner, so it bounces off 2 walls.

It will not hurt anything unless it is so bright that the fish can't sleep. A little light would just act as a night light for the tank.

Doubt this would be a problem. After all even in nature the sea isn't pitch black (at least not the part where we get our critters from).
