ammonia in QT tank

how do you guys keep ammonia levels down in your QT tanks?

I have small sacks of bioballs/ceramic rings in my sump that i move to the QT whenever I have new fish. It's a 1-way move, as I discard the "used" bio-filter after quarantine is complete.

If you don't have any spare bioballs/ceramic rings, then you can use Amquel for ammonia. However, do NOT use Amquel or any water conditioners/dechlorinators if you're using copper. The combination will make copper 10x deadlier.
