Ok so I get new corals in Friday night get them situated in the 20 long decent pe on all but one, no problem go to bed get up in the morn to check on them the one with no earlier pe has died, and lost 30% of its tissue whole room had that bad acro smell removed promptly .loss of pe on all.corals, this morning loss of color on all but pe is back , go to church when I get back colors are worse , what now pale.coral.come.from to things right lack of food and to much light . Light is the same so I target feed them . Check them before bed color has returned almost as dark and my biggest colony has purple.steaks all the way down the branches now. before the incident it only had purple tips

possible amonia spike

possible amonia spike

Did I have a small.ammonia spike and the stress of the event made them burn all their stored nutrients up . Color loss and back in one day I would not have believed if I did not see it .

Ok checked on tank one more time thought I would check parameters one more time
Alk 10.5
Cal 420
Mag 1440
Then looked at my birdsnest it was almost white with blue polps had slowly faded since.I received it its bodie had turned purple and green in a few hours has my tank been starved this whole time or did the pigments from the dead coral get into the old corals whats going on

Hard to say? In my opinion 20 gallon doesn't have very much room or body of water for any slight water par changes or fudges even adding 20 frags at once could cause issues .... I doubt there pale from no nutrients in water your all seems really high and we're ever they came from probly had a lower alk and that's what's causing issues ?
