Anchor Hammer suddenly looks really bad...

So I just turned my lights off, took a nap, came back and the AHC was retracted further than I've ever seen it. I realize it retracts when the lights go off, but it looks really bad. No brown bits or anything. I'm new to reefing, in fact just inherited this tank a week ago. Everything has seemed fine now this...
I did move the powerhead so I'm thinking this could be the culprit? After noticing the Anchor Hammer problem I moved it back to where it was (which is further away) give or take. I turned the lights back on just to see how it responds. Ideas guys?

AGAIN, I'm a newb so any advice helps.
PH is about 7.8

Calcium was at a good level, can't remember what it was when I tested.

KH was 140 ppm

Don't have a alkalinity test... Plan on getting one tomorrow as I saw somewhere someone saif their AHC retracts when its low, but the retraction was so rapid once the lights went off I don't think this is the problem.

Lights have been on about 15 minutes now, just now looking like it has been when the lights have been off all night, except one small section where the clown fish host had been really rubbing on it when it was retracted (attributing that section to that at the moment).

For got to add the temp of the tank did rise about a degree. It was at 77.4 (according to itemp probe) for the last week that I'd had it, and my chiller was set at 77. I moved it up to 78 because I was thinking that was better for the reef as it should stay in the 78-79 range now. Possible issue? Temp now says 79... (I'm thinking I need to lower the chiller to where it was). This hobby might be to stressful for me lol
