Anemone for A. Latezonatus

Fautin and Allen list H. crispa as the only host anemone for latz. But they also list crispa with percula, and I think that is likely a mistake--I have yet to see a perc in a crispa in the wild.

It is funny that they say only H. crispa, because in my Fautin/Allen book there is a pic of Latz in a BTA (the bta is mis-IDed as a H. crispa however).

If you do a google image search, you will find several pictures taken in the wild of Latz in BTAs.

I thought that looked like a BTA in the book photo as well. Even the experts have trouble id'ing anemones, apparently.

Bigsink, I had a pair that I lost to Ick back in Sept that it took 2 mos to host in a RBTA. I bought another pair last month and they were in the nem 1st day. Good luck they are great clowns

finrod2, where did you get your pair? One of mine jumped the other day. I was so upset. It found the small opening in my mesh cover.

I bought my from PIA. I did lose the first pair to ick buy otherwise they ship well and ate right away. Mine eat both mysis and flake. I keep them at 79f.

I bought mine tank raised from Karen in Hawaii and shipped to PR and he was eating same day and was hosting a rbta almost instantly.

I need to replace mine that jumped. Tall order for PIA in the winter and distance.

Yes I had one jump and one get killed by a pair of damsels. I don't want to ship from hawaii to buffalo in winter. I emailed Sustainable and my lfs can get one in for me on their next clownfish order.
