A freind of mine has tons of these little thingys in his tank. They multiply like crazy and we dont know what they are. All we figured out so far is they love mysis shrimp...Thanks for any help!

Looks like a type of majano.


Some varieties come in pretty colors, but are still considered a pest.

Yes, similar to aiptasia. But usually more attractive looking.

Yeah, i had a MAJOR Mojano problem in my tank at one point, they were pretty cool, some were reddish, come almost a blue color, but they were EVERYWHERE, and were killing alot of my little shrimps and inverts and some corals......i woiuld highly suggest that joes jiuce stuff (thanks maryce )... also, i have recently tried using distilled whitevinegar things, and it works GREAT! get vinegar and water with a 1:3 ratio, and then squirt LITTLE amounts directly into the aipstasia (sp?) or mojano and it will kill it right away (did for me) and does not affect the parameters at all, unless you spill the whole cup in, it wont do harm, and it is cheap and works great. But if you want to be really safe, joes juice works very well too, tried that in my 75, works awesome, and Marcye has it at SITC, so if you go to the meeting this saturday, you can picl some up
