Anemone off liverock

yikes! NO! You will likely damage the foot and could potentially kill the animal. There are a few options, but none are really easy.

1) Take the rock out, and break off the rock where the nem is. VERY safe for the nem, not so safe for your LR :)
2) Some have had success with putting ice cubes on/near the foot to get it to move. Make sure if you do this to either put the cubes in plastic bags, or make new ice cubes using RO/DI water.
3) Others have reported success aiming a powerhead directly at the foot to irritate the nem enough to get it to move. I've never been successful with this, as they seem to hold during the day for me, then move at night to an even more undesired location.
4) Something I've done....pile rocks/shells etc on/around the base of the bta, also attempting to shield as much of the light as possible in the hopes that the bta will shift slightly to get to better light/flow and end up on one of the extra pieces of rock/shell, then pull the rock/shell out of the tank.

hope this helps, just please don't go pulling.

This worked for me, but it took three weeks of covering each new place the anemone found its way out. I had given up, but when the shells were removed, the anemone had started moving and the base was loose. Large clam shells work well.
