anemone sick?

I have had an anemone for about 2 months and have had no real problems after the first couple of days, now though he seems to be balling up more and he has some brown spots on him? Does anyone know what this is or what would cause this? I am currently having a big algae problem can this cause this?

Was it bleached white to start? If it is getting brown spots, I would think that the zooxanthalle are growing back (a good thing), or perhaps the zooxanthalle are changing to proliferate in your tank paramenters

I am not sure if it was bleached white or not? it is a purple tipped anenome thats all I really know? got it from the lfs? should it not be white?

From what I read, I think you have a Sebae Anemone. I shold not be white. Go read and good luck

Is this what you have?

If so, that's a condylactis and should be white.

Can't really help with your problem though.

mine has the purple tips but the tentacles seem much thinner on mine? I will try a pic but I can never seem to get anything with good clarity?
