Anemone trying to blend itself

OK so I have a RBTA named Sherman, because wherever he goes he leaves a path of destruction, that has been in the same location for the past 2-3 months. Well Saturday night sometime he upped from his location and moved to the back of the rock work where I barely spotted him on Sunday morning. I figured he was tired of the old location and needed change so I let him be and on Monday morning he was back on the front of the rock face in a different location. I came home from work yesterday and he was up in the upper left hand corner of the tank near the Korillia 4 power head. I powered it off and just let him do his own thing. I woke up this morning and noticed that he moved so I fired up the power head and started looking for him and he was on top the other powerhead on the opposite side of the tank all shriveled up from the suction and high water flow. So I killed that pump and left for work. He has done this before about 3 months ago.

Any idea why he is doing this? He has a Clarki that is hosting him and feeds him.

No idea, mine didn't move for over 3 years, now it and it's clone have taken to higher ground.

I don't know, but mine just did this. He was stationary for about a year. Then started moving around. I let him be until I came home 2 or 3 days laters, he was no more. The Koralia 3 had won the battle.

Luckily my tank did not crash, but I am having algae bloom problems now, even after doing several large water changes, both hair and diatoms.

Apparantly my Cirrhilabrus liked anemone bits floating around the water before I cleaned them all out.

Hopefully he is not moving back to the other powerhead that is back on... If he is still on the one that is off I will just put him back on a rock when I get home. They need to make Anemone guards...

OK so I get home yesterday and look around and Sherman dropped/climbed down from the pump and is now on the back of some rock with the clarkis in tow. He didn't get mangled by the pump so I am sure that Sherman will make a good recovery. It will just make him stronger.

mine just got sucked in to a koralia 4 and unfortunately i peeled him out of the cage i wasn't aware i should let him try to get out himself, I know he was quite mangled and put him in the sump to heal, however he has now split, and the 2 i have now look like they are going to possible split again, or looking really bad. Oh my sump only has about 10 in of water in it so i put a PC light over him. So there is plenty of flow and light. But i agree Koralia although good on power are kinda dangerous, It needs some kind of guard.

Haha...I love the name Sherman!! Are you from GA?

I live in GA but not from here. My buddy gave me the idea for the name. It is just ironic that I live in the Atlanta area...
