anemone with pipefish???

Look, I know this is considered a no-no, but my long tentacle anemone wasn't looking so good so I moved him to my fuge for some special attention. The nem is starting to look a lot better, but I am concerned about my pipes. Does anyone have experience with anemones and pipe fish? I have a blue lined, jannus, and an alligator pipe and I feel that the alligator is most at risk of injuring himself on the nem because he is slower moving and likes to wrap his tail around things. The nem is currently in the part of the tank my alligator doesn't seem to frequent too often but they have the potential for interaction. Anybody have any horror or success stories for me? It would be really difficult to care for the nem in my main tank but I don't want any harm to come to my pipes. Any constructive comments would be appreciated.

Since you already know it... then there's no need to tell you.

that is a huge no no, you need to remove the anemone asap. the longer you keep it in there the longer you keep your pipes at risk. i would put the anemone back into its normal tank or set up a smaller tank with sand and water from one of your mature tanks and take care of him in there.

If you don't plan on moving the anemone (since you already know its a no-no and want to try it anyway), can you at least put a tank divider in the fuge to keep the pipes away from the anemone?

The only valid option seems to be to get rid of the anemone from your aquariums. He cant be taken care of in the main tank, and the pipe tank is unsuitable. I personally have struggled in the past about adding (or keeping) critters that dont really fit my aquarium plan.. but really its the best thing you can do for the success of your tanks.
