Anenome Crabs

From the limited information I've been able to find, they are supposed to be reef safe and don't require any special feedings. Is this correct? I currently feed my fish frozen mysis, frozen brine, prime reef flakes, Hikari S pellets, Formula 2 flakes and occationally Cyclop-eeze.

Does anybody currently have one of these in their reef? Are they really reef safe and will they simply eat the same food as the fish. Are there any special requirements for them?

Those are reef safe. He will eat everything you listed, but I'd add something for filter feeders too. Mine gets phyto and zooplankton every once in a while.

When you say once in a while, how often are you talking? Once a week, twice a week or more frequently?

I do mix cyclop-eeze in about once a week, would this be sufficient?

Also, will I see it eating?

Mine hangs out exclusively on my S. haddoni carpet anemone. I've never actually seen him eat anything I can see, but he's got his little "hands" (not sure what they're really called...little web-like appendages that he uses to scoop tiny stuff out of the water) going all the time, and he recently molted (I thought he had died). I used to refer to him as a Kung Fu Crab due to his constant hand motions.

100% reef safe. Will do best in an anemone, but also can live without one. The are very shy crabs, so more aggresive stuff (coral bandeds, etc.) may try and nip at him without an anemone. They are plankton feeders, so if you do regular feedings of your tank, he should get enough food. I see you are in Blackwood, I am in Philly, I love Aquarium Center in Blackwood!

sjfishguy - Aquarium Center is only about 3 minutes from me, so I'm frequently checking out their livestock. They have a really good store.

Have one, although he has been shy since I added a pistol and watchmen goby. He goes after the big pieces of mysis when I put them in, but I have never seen him eat one.

Mine will also grab pieces of silverside from my hand and snack slowly on it.
I read that they preferred to be in pairs but mine never hung out together then 1 died about 3 months ago and the other has been fine on his own.

He seams to be using my large finger leather as a host. The first few days he was hanging out on the rock the leather is attached to and this morning he was in the middle of the leather. I have yet to see he swinging his little fans around, so I guess he must not be hungry.
