I just got a bubble tip nem, on friday, he moved from the rock i put him at to the back of the tank, and now squeezed in between a powerhead and the glass, should i leave him alone, or try to get him to another spot. i've shut off the powerhead, so he doenst get sucked up, which is really affecting the flow in the tank. any ideas?:eek1:

I would first try to remove your powerhead somehwhere else and then turn it on to get the flow back. But if thats not possible, then move the BTA off the glass to the rocks and then turn the PH back on.

I'd move him unless your light source is the reason it's climbing up the glass... I'd also do something with the intake on the powerhead, like build a little plastic cage around it, because sooner or later the anenome will find its way to it again.

how should i go about getting him off the glass, piece of ice, water flow. in other words what is the safest way for him.

If you are not bothered by the sting(most people aren't with BTAs) The best thing I have found is using your fingernail. go slow and as you scrape under it with your nail, the anemone should react and pull off a teeny bit. Just progress really slowly and it will do most of the releasing on its own.

You can also use a razor on the glass, but I think the fingernail method works cleaner.

Late double post?

Use your finerneil or something like a credit card that can wedge under your anemone without causing it harm.

yeah, stupid computer. i've got him moved and wedged in between some rock, low flow, and high in the tank, maybe he will stay, but i doubt it.
