Seems likely that we can call it that. I have seen bloat in african cichlids, its called malawi bloat. I have not seen an angel with it till recently.
My goldflake came in with it, and died a day after recieving it.
It initially ate, (Just picking really)But was breathing hard. It never stopped breathing hard.
Then the next day became lethargic. All Qtank perams were spot on and i even have extra water movement to get O2 in the tank. Tank has been running for months.
Prazi only holds it at bay, I used to use a product called Clout with my africans with great results.
I have had FW fish for 20 or so years and this angel bloat reminds me exactly of malawi bloat. Fish show the exact same symptoms.
I never read on the angel bloat till this one died. It was too far gone before i could help it even if i did notice it. I froze him just after he died, Maybe i can find someone to disect it for me.
Thats if the vendor does not want it back.
I know its in the wrong place but i can tell ya no one looks in the sick fish forum, and i wanted to get an idea of what people think.
I think this is the exact same disease and wanted to get it out there.
