angel fish eye problem

Hello,
I just moved last week and had to tear down my tank and re set it up. My LFS was nice enough to babysit my fish for 2 days. For the move. I thought this would be a nice opportunity to introduce a new fish because The Bi-color angelfish is very territorial. I put all the fish in and all was well. The next day The Bi-color angelfish's left eye was bulging out of his head. I called my LFS and he said it was probably bruised in transport, it will go down in a day or 2. That was a week ago. It seems that the eye area is better, but off to the side of it, a clear bubble is next to his eye. The fish seems to eat fine, but it a little more aggressive than usual when eating, and a little more skiddish, which i could understand if the fish has a blurry vision. Any ideas of the problem being more than a bruised eye? Thanks for any feedback in advance.

I have heard of a fish that got a bubble trapped in his eye after damaging it in a net. After a few weeks the bubble went away on its own. It sounds like the bubble on your fish isn't actually in the eye though, but next to it?

If there is no redness, cloudiness or fuzziness and since you said the eye seems to be improving, I would probably just watch the fish and see if the condition continues to improve. If I saw any of the symptoms I listed I would treat with antibiotics in a hospital tank. If I could easily catch the fish, I might do that anyway as secondary bacterial infections are somewhat common with eye injuries.

I had a flame angel that had the same issue. It took 2-3 weeks before the bulge in his eye went away. That was about 1.5 yrs. ago and he is doing just fine now.
