Animal Planet's :Blue World:
Ok I'm not sure if this would be OT or not. I don't think it is.

How many of you here watched Animal Planet's newest series called " BLUE WORLD" on this past Wednesday 10-04-06 ?? This series will be on every Wednesday @ 8pm CST.

I missed the first 10 min of it trying to get home from work. However I found this series to be extraordinary unbelievably amazing. We ( my wife my son and I ) were just fascinated to the point we couldn't move from the T.V. I must declare that the programmer who thought of creating such a series must be a sheer genius! I give it a a five star rating!!

For those of you who did not watch it or know nothing about it, This is a series about discovery, Discovering what is deep below the Ocean. Really deep down around 5 mile's below the ocean's surface. What life is down there if any at all. Thing's that Man kind has never before viewed. Never seen with eyes or knew even existed. Creature's of the depth. And there was life!! Fishes seen for the first time, Invertebrates, sponges more than I can list!! They even found an Octopus that for the mean time there calling "Dumb bo" due to the rather overly large fins protruding out from the side's of the upper dome of it's body!! Totally flabbergasted was I to get to see this show. Creature's surviving in temperature's of 390* Fahrenheit in one part and other's at 40* Fahrenheit in other area's!! They talked about natural reef's and there inhabitants how they survived and the reason's why some things were brightly colored and other were not. How the sun and the moon is so important to their ecosystem.

I was just wondering who else may have viewed the show and their opinion's about it?? No one I work with knew what I was chattering about and labeled me a educational NERD. Idiots I say, Idiot's who know nothing or care about our ocean's and the consequences that we humans don't realize could happen if we don't try to understand how we affect our Ocean's. Life as we know it may have, could have started from these Oceans........

I might have the name wrong, it might be Blue Planet.

I missed it, but will definately check the schedule and tivo it for sure. If you like things like this, you should check out the shows on National Geographic(other than the dang dog whisperer). They have some really cool shows like Megastructures, Seconds from disaster, etc and their specials are very nice too. Thanks for the heads up on this new show.

Yes, it's Blue Planet and I've seen this one too. They play it every so often and it's fascinating. They have a few different "episodes" or installments and they're awesome!!

Put me in the NERD category - although my daughter prefers to call us REEF GEEKS.
