OK People. You may have heard this before but for those who have not. This event is the best on the East coast and possibly in the US and has historically packed the house to capacity. This year as before That Fish Place and RCS/NCPARS will join forces and throw a rockin show. Deals from the store and 1000's of the best farmed corals in the country will be on hand and up for grabs.
I will be updating this thread with more info as it materializes. Thank you for the support and see ya all at the show !!!!

Yes, I apologize as life has been crazy and catching up is the norm at the present. I will get a poster up and a flyer soon as well as the fragswapper event for the swappers. I am waiting on fizz atm for the ticket for fragswapper. TY for the support !!!

Getting close now, just over two weeks away from the 6th Annual Winter Frag Swap. This years event looks to be another great turnout, looking forward to seeing everyone here at TFP.
We will have a number of manufacturer reps on hand to answer questions about their products. API, Hagen, UPG, Acurel, Hydor and Seachem will all have reps here. It is also a fish sale weekend at TFP, all aquarium livestock will be 25% off all weekend.

Hope we see you here!
Dave

What is a good time to arrive at this event? I don't need to meet anyone and I am not looking to get something special or anything, so I don't need to be there right at the start. In fact I'd rather get there a little later and try to get some better deals on frags when people are trying to get rid of them, but don't want to get there too late where I might miss some good deals. Thoughts?

If you have never been to one of our swaps before, I would recommend arriving near the beginning of the swap, so you get the opportunity to see the majority of what is being offered. There are great deals right from the start, but the real eye candy goes pretty quick, and is worth seeing. You can reserve frags ahead of time if you register on www.fragswapper.com if you see anything listed on the site that you really want, there will be much more at the swap than what is listed there. The swap is busiest from 11-1, after 3 the club is usually trying to have meetings and running the prize raffle, and things really start to clear out after that happens.

Ok thanks

I wonder when Dan is going to get all of his frags up on swapper, excited to see what he is going to be bringing. Also anyone know if Bobby(psuscr) will be going? Ive bought nice corals off him before would like to get some more b

Dan is slowly getting items listed.
If you log into fragswapper and navigate to the event page, on the left is a list of everyone registered to attend. Obviously, not everyone registers. psuscr is currently not registered.

Always having a raffle. That is where the club makes most of the money for our school programs. The raffle is using held at 3:30. That Pet Place works with their suppliers to get donated items for the club. I will be donating a few frags for the raffle and ask others to do the same.

It might be too late to suggest this, but I'd love to see peeps list their registered names on their name tags. I'm buying 20+ coral (and selling some) and hate looking for a guy with the username fishcoralkeeper and that person has their nametag listed...John.

+1
Years back that is what we all did.

There will be a floor layout posted at registration for people to choose and write in their table space. I will also print out a list of pre-registered peeps in large format. Then people can check off when they arrive and cross out when they leave. It will only work if everyone does it, but worth a shot.

awesome!

FYI Folks. FragSwapper.com has been having trouble with email (again). For some reason my host is tossing everything that gets sent out from "FragSwapper@FragSwapper.com" which is the standards address for all notifications, confirmations and swapper emails from the site. I've temporarily switched to "donotreply@fragswapper.com" so if any of you have email filters to let fragswapper email pass through as not spam add the donotreply one to your list!

On top of that make sure you go back and check if you have any outstanding requests and if you sent somebody an email recently from the site they probably didn't get it!

For new users trying to register if you try to login, on the "enter your confirmation code" screen there is a place to have the email resent.

Sorry for the issues...I have an open ticket with my host as to why that email (which is legitimate) is failing but the bogus one works. :)

Thanks.
