Annularis and emperor angel

I would either try to get a much larger emp or a very small 2" emp.
They are more likely to fight if they are the same size.

I dont think you will have problems but finaly some one who has a annularis angels they probibly my favorate angel yet very few people have them do you have a pic?

i have a 4.5" emp juvie and he chases the same size chrysurus angel around a lot. this is only in a 180g though. he does not and have never bothered any of the other 5 angels(blueface/personifer/blueline/scribbled/passer), just the chyrsurus.

Wow. 7 angels in a 5 ft. tank?!?

If I was you, I would add a juve. Emperor if you want to add it to the Annularis. You shouldn't have any problems anyway, but this would be the safe way to go. Plus an Emperor changing to an adult is one of the most beautiful things in this hobby.

You would certainly be ok in 430g tank. I would even add a few more angels like scribbled, personifer and a blue line. I find that no matter what size tank Emperor angels always go after any newcomer for a bit then it subsides. My Emperor angel is only the third largest angel in my 220 and hes the most aggressive! keep us posted.

Its 430 gallons...I doubt you'll have any problems.

As I stated in the ideal situation you should not add 2 angels that are the same size because there will almost certainly be some aggression. A 430 is large but since you have a 4.5" I would advise to get your new fish either smaller or larger than 4.5".
