Another Ballast/Bulb/Fixture Question

I have the lumen max 2 reflector, blue wave 2 ballast running reefoptics 250w14k bulbs. Growth seems to be very slow on the corals, both lps and sps. Is there a better bulb that will work with this ballast/reflector combo?

It looks to be radiums from what I can tell. Anyone have any experience with this bulb ballast combo?

radniums are always awsome, but the rumor is they will be hard to find soon so i would not fall in love with them, or find a bulb that is close, coral vue is supposed to be comming out with a bulb that is very close, i want to try the de version.

they are having hazmat import issues. They are not providing the proper paperwork for what i believe is murcury content.

HI Josh,

It is true that one of the bigger suppliers had a huge shipment get stuck in customs and they are trying to get it out. Some type of special paperwork they are wanting to bring the lamps into the USA. Probably an extra license to tax etc. There are several other companies that import the lamp too though and I have not heard if any of them have stuck shipments or if they are not importing until they find out what happed to this first importer. So future wise, I have a feeling they’ll be available, but certainly for next month or so, I would expect this lamp to be really hard to get.
