another clam question

I just got a small (1-2") maxi and wanted to make sure I am doing everything right. The tank he came from had MH and currently I have pc(until I replace them this week with MH), so the clam is high in the tank. I also have been keeping the calcium between 400-500 and doing a water change every other week on my 38 gallon tank. I have been feeding micro vert liquid food too.

My question is am I doing everything right? Did I forget anything? Also should I be switching to marine snow or another type of phyto food or is the micro vert food ok?

Thanks for any advice/help you can give me!

Try feeding your clam dt's. Put the clam in a small container with a little dt's for about 30 to 45 min. Do this two or three times a week for about a month.

where do you get your DT's?

where do you get your DT's?

where do you get your DT's?

saf,

Where in Maryland are you. My LFS in Baltimore carry DT's. I normally buy it there because it is still cheaper than paying the shipping. It needs to be refrigerated.

I am actually in DC. what store are you getting them from?

Let me know!!!

I talked to a rep. from kent marine and he said that the micro vert was way too big for the clam to eat. DT's live phytoplankton is a much smaller food. The clams really like it and everyone uses it.

thanks

thanks

I am going to check with a lfs today to see if they have it, if not I am going to get some
