Another crazy EPISODE with my REEF TANK...

Today I had the CO2 tank refilled. I clean the reactor and changed the media. While cleaning the protien skimmer, I heard this VERY LOUD pop. After completing my screaming and running for cover, it was a small valve on the back of the main valve that popped out. The tank wall got a frost and I openning windows and doors.

What in the hell happened? I got the unit refilled at Florida Gas in Hollywood. Am I looking at another tank?

Silvester, Wholy Episode! I know that this was not funny but I couldn't stop laughing while I was reading this, I could picture you running for cover.
I believe that the safety pressure valve must have pop on your tank, I saw that happened once in the restaurant and it was as loud as a bomb.
I think the tank is still good you need to bring it back to FG for refilling.

most likely its just the saftey valve as roger said,

i play paintball on occasion and i use small co2 tanks for that, and if the tank is overfilled, filled improperly, or you let the tank heat up the waffer inside the relief valve breaks. yeah that happened one night driving home after filling it in my car. imagine driving down the road and the tank next to you bursts, filling your car with ice cold co2, that looks like a cloud and you cant see. yeah that was a fun expereiece, lol
