Another gen 3 vs. gen 3 pro thread

So, I really thinking about doing the upgrade from my gen 1 to either the gen 3 or the gen 3 pro.

Looking at the specs, I see the main difference is the
• Yellow: 2 Osram Oslon SSL (6W)
and 200 more par. ( which I need like another hole in the head)

The upgrade price is $275 for the Pro and $175 for the gen 3.

Are the 2 yellow leds really worth the $100?

its not just the yellow leds, theres only 6 deep blues in the base gen 3 and 8 in the pro
also the base model has white xt-e's and the pro has white xp-g2's

Opps, didn't look close enough.

So do you think those with the yellows are worth the extra $100

I don't think any users can answer this question because of how new these lights are. I recall someone from ecotech mentioning the extra yellow allows these fixtures to mimic the sunlight more closely with extra spectrum. How close and how it benefits users will depend on consumers feedback, all of which is impossible right now.

I will let you know in a year if I choose to upgrade from my gen2
