Another live rock question...

The first time I tired this, it didn't post?!? Anyway, how much live rock would you recommend for an AGA 120g tank. This will be an SPS dominated tank. I removed the contents from my 75g and have them in a 100g Rubbermaid until the new tank is plumbed. I am figuring on 100 lbs of cured live rock. I have always purchased Fiji, but wanted to go with something different, sort of like car shopping. I have ordered from you in the past, but it has always been drygoods. I would lie to pick out my own rock as well as pick it up, at your convenience. How do you suggest I order the rock if I don't know what kind I want exactly?? And when could I come and do this??

Hi,

We would recommend Marshall Island rock if you want something different and really open, great for high water movement like in a sps tank. We could setup an appointment where you would come in and pick out your own rock, so you would just need to call or email to setup a time.

i would recommend 100-120 pounds of rock for Bio-support, after that it's just depends on your personal taste, some people really like it packed in and tall and some don't, but supporting the reef can be accomplished with 100-120lbs.
