Well I finally got my T5s...I wanted the T5/MH fixture but it was too wide for my 55g...so I went with the Current Nove extreem 8x54w...and WOW is it BRIGHT! Right now I am only running 6 of the bulbs for a few weeks to let my corals and fish get used to it. it came with 4x10k and 4xactinic. I must say I am quite impressed with the fixture! The only downfall is the white moon lights are MUCH brighter then the old ones on my Corallife fixture(its a problems since the tank is in my bedroom!)

it really is a never ending battle with this fishes, however I won the fight!!!! :D .....I sold them!

The Nova extreme may not be the best on the market, but it is great isn't it? I just got the 24" for my 15 and I still love it! You are right about the moon lights...I thought I was just imagining it at first, but they are definitely brighter than my Satellite fixture was. The actinics are brighter too and great to take pics by! Welcome to the addiction I call T-5's!

congrats on the lights, Im loving mine and I still havent even put in all the bulbs. My last 2 bulbs get here on tues.

Thanks guys! The corals seem to be adapting pretty well...Next week the last 2 can go on...I was considering changing one of the 10k to teh 420 atcinic. Not sure though...gotta find out if its worth it or not...I am just excited I will be able to get the one SPS I ever wanted! A birds nest!! And prolly a clam too!

It's neat to see everyone starting to transition to T5s. I've been running them for about 18 months now, and I've been very impressed with them. They're so much stronger than I expected, I only run my halides for about 2 hours each day.
