Somebody at The Mad Reefer suggested this site to me, and so far I have found a lot of useful information. I had a fish only tank set up for about 4 years with no problems and had to take it down because we moved. I am in the process of setting it up again and would like to make it a reef tank this time, but I still have a lot to learn! I look forward to reading your threads.

Hi Tracy and welcome to the site. I am Pat, the guy you spoke with at the Mad Reefer. I am glad you chose to come check out the site, you will not be disappointed. Everybody here is helpfull and can offer you tons of good advice and knowledge. Again welcome to the site and the magical world of reefkeeping :)

Welcome Tracy! I hope you have a deep wallet because reefing is not only an addiction, but it cost an order of magnitude more than fish only. Though expensive, I get tons of enjoyment out of it so its worth it for me. Do make sure that you do plenty of research into propper lighting and filtration methods before making any decisions. You dont want to buy something and have it turn out to be crap and just have to buy another product later. A good rule of thumb is if its cheap, its probably not worth getting! So get yourself a good protein skimmer and good lights to start with or you will likely regret it later on down the road. Good luck in your adventure and if you have any questions let me know!
