another unknown anemone thread.

my tank has been running for about a year and a half now and these things are really starting to spread on this rock. any idea if they are the dreaded majanos? the one in the bottom front is an aptasia, but I dont know what the big ones in the back are.

I need to know if I need to get rid of them before they move off of that rock. only other thing on there are some pulsing xenia. I can remove them pretty easily.

consensus from another thread seems to think they are majanos. anyone know for sure?

i'll have to remove the xenia and drop the rock in a pot of boiling water for some nice total destruction.

They definitely look like one of the nuisance anemones. Especially since they are spreading so fast.

kill it while you can spreads like wild fire try joes juice or inject with lemon juice
