So I was treating a fish in my QT with paraguard. Diectly under my QT is my salt water mixing tank. As I was doing a water change on mt QT I was pumping water from my mixing tank up into my QT when the hose popped off my pump and syphened water from the QT into my mixing tank. Not the hose is filled with fresh salt water so most of the syphon was just that, but probably a cup or so of treated water made it into my mixing tank.

I threw a bag of carbon into the mixint tank (I have good circulation in there).

Should I scrap the entire mixing tank water? I use that water for my DT and I have a water change coming up tomorrow. I am out of enough salt. sure I can wait and get more salt but it has been a couple of weeks since it happened...

Personally, I would never let anything get from a treatment tank to a DT. The water would be OK after 10 weeks, though. I wouldn't even let a hose touch the QT water and then then put it back in the mixing tank. Paranoid? Maybe, but when it comes to parasites...Murphy's law is always in play. BTW, what are you treating with the Paraguard, or is it just preventative?
