Anthelia

Lockes

Well I bought a few Zoanthids, mushrooms and some anthelia on thursday.

I must admin my acclimatisation was probably not long enough.

I had the anthelia in a low-mid flow area under PC's and actinics.

They looked fine last night however had not opened yet.

This morning they had completely withered and had bleached and had that dying smell if you know what I mean. Is this a salinity problem u think?

Doing a full water test later. I have also recently moved the whole system so maybe water quality os not gr8 but from what I have read anthelia is quite hardy.

Everything else looks gr8

Xenia can be a finicky coral. If it does not like your tank it will start dropping limbs and later just melt away. It might not have been anything you did that caused it to die. Especially, if it was shipped to you priority mail. I have kept various types of Xenia for about three years now. What I have noticed is that they like SG of about 1.025-1.026 and keep the temperature below 81 degrees. The also like moderate flow and higher lighting.
