Any recommedations for feeding anthias? I'm feeding mine PE Mysis & cyclo right now. Seem to be doing well, but just wondering if anything else should be thrown into the mix to keep colors at their peak.
That is good, try some rotifers and reef plankton too. I get this stuff from my LFS called Pro Salt Mini Reef(http://pro-salt.com/), its a mix of scallops, roe, plankton, mysis, rotifers, and a crap load of other stuff. They like it.
I have also been throwing in some New Life Spectrum .5 mm pellets while I am feeding, and they eat a few here and there.
NLS spectrum 1mm pellets (or the small fish formula).
I am also a big fan of Reef Nutrition's TDO (Otohime). C1 or C2 would work well for anthias in my opinion) http://reefnutrition.com/otohime_apbreed.html
Presoaking the pellets for a few minutes works well (especially for the 1mm NLS). The OTO has a tendency to float if it isn't soaked and added with a baster.
I feed pellets, but don't find pellets alone to keep their colors vibrant. Finly minced scallop, shrimp, along with mysis, cyclopeeze and Nutrimar Ova really help with color, IME.
