Anthias that does not move

Hi,

I recently purchased 6 Dispar Anthias from Live Aquaria. And added them to a 100 gallon tank two days ago. Five of the anthias are huddled together in the back of the tank and seem to be doing fine but just afraid yet to come out into the open

However, when I released one of the Anthias then it dove down to the front of the tank next to the glass and it has not left this spot in two days time. It will move some so its not paralyzed or anything. I can even touch it with something and it will just move a little. Otherwise it just lays there. Seems fine visually. Eyes are alert and breaths look normal.

Is there anything I should be doing which might help?

Thanks!

Livemontana,

Thank you for your post. When first introduced to the aquarium, the Anthias can be rather shy. To encourage them to explore their new home, we suggest making sure that they are eating properly and are not being bothered by any other fish in your aquarium. Additionally, it would be good to make sure that the water in your aquarium is getting proper circulation and has a consistent temperature. Over time, the fish should start to become more active.
