Antibiotics Treatment Length

hey everyone, I needed to treat some new fish (yellow coris wrasse and royal gramma) for a minor bacterial infection and had some questions. I am treating with E.M. Erythromycin and according to the directions, the course of treatment is 4 days. However, I see most people recommend a 10 day treatment, so should I do 4 or 10 days with this product? Also, this is not an established qt, so I have trace amounts of ammonia right now. Fish are eating and swimming normal right now, but I'd like to correct this as fast as possible. Can I use Prime while using erythromycin? I have a hob filter with a sponge from established DT. QT tank is a 20 long.

Treat for 10-14 days, and you can use an ammonia reducer with most antibiotics. However, you will need to do regular water changes to remove residuals from the medication. I would also invest in a Seachem ammonia alert badge to keep tabs on ammonia.
